“Standing in your bones” – plumb good!

Wayne can stand.  With help, but he can stand. The secret is good body alignment. He must stand straight and tall.  If he looks down to see his feet, which is really tempting, he’ll collapse.  Let’s face it, who wouldn’t be tempted to look down and see that they are really standing on their feet.  And of course, wouldn’t you want to check out where those feet are taking you? Tempting indeed!                                                                              Your bones are like individual dominoes building on top of each other, the shins over the ankles, the knees over the arches, the pelvis over the feet, the rib cage suspending over the pelvis, and the head floating above the rib cage. There is a plumb line that connects through the center of your head to your tailbone and heels in your standing posture. Inner  alignment is centered in the bones. When you place your weight into your bones, the muscles hold less tension. This is the dynamic of standing alignment. When you stand in alignment, the body can be at ease, and uses less muscle, which currently Wayne is in short supply of.  Wayne can stay upright with a minimum of physical effort when his focus is on aligning his bones, he is “standing on his bones.” What happens when Wayne sticks his butt out or turns his head or moves his arm out in from of him, you guessed it, just like dominos, he falls down!                                                                                                                 He must hear the loud chant coming from all of you “Keep your head up Wayne, it just makes plumb good sense.”

  1. okay, here’s a blast from the past. The band, Argent; the year, 1972; the song, Hold Your Head Up. Play it for him everyday for a week. The lyric “hold your head up” is repeated over 50 times, just thinking about it, you can’t shake it from your head. I have downloaded the song to my alarm, it will be the theme song until further notice. Sending my strength, prayers and thoughts your way.

    Peace,
    Paul

    • We are counting on you to update us on the theme song for the time. “Hold your head up worked great for all of us”.

      Easter blessings,
      Wayne and Peeches

  2. Prayers that is head is held high and he is standing straight and will be strong on his feet !!!!! God bless yall. In my prayers everyday :))))

  3. There is absolutely no one that I know better who SHOULD hold his head high and straight other than Wayne (other than his incredible wife Peeches) for all of his tremendous accomplishments and determination… So, hold your head like you are looking for the finish line – it is just beyond the horizon – not at your toes – keep that smile in the direction of the path not the past – full focus ahead!! Happy St Patrick’s Day

    • I am using that as our mantra “Keep our heads up as we head down the path leaving the past behind.”

      Easter blessings,

  5. I talked with Phil today he said he spent time with you last week. He really gave me perspective of just how much you have gone through and the road ahead. Wayne you have always been a pillar of strenght all your life never doubting that you could reach your goals. I know this is very hard, but please for all your family keep your spirit strong and know how much you mean to all of us. You have all the sympathy I can pull from my heart to you. Confession: I have not had a flu shot since 1976 when I ended up in the hospital with a reaction to it. I will try for you. After what you have gone through that really makes me look cowardly.

  6. We are proud of you standing up. Next you’ll be moving those feet, and your body right out of that hospital. Can’t wait for that news. Keep up the good work, the weather in St George is great, miss spending time with you two.

Thank’s for the special card and the nice words. We wish we could do more.

    Luv ya,
    Mark and Jacque

    • Hopefully soon he will be able to get out of the hospital and home. Maybe just in time for the “really warm weather” in St. George. Oh well, who cares as long as we can get there.

Your love and support do a great deal for us, thanks for all.

      Miss you guys,
      Wayne and Peeches
